how are my classes different?

All the information and techniques for both Reiki levels 1 and 2 are covered, including:

• Reiki - what it is, its history, the levels of Reiki, how it heals, what it can be used for
• The Reiki Ideals
• The Reiki hand positions- self-treatment and others.
• How to give a complete Reiki treatment for self and others.
• As taught by Dr. Usui, Japanese Reiki Techniques include Gassho meditation, Reiji-ho - developing your intuition, Byosen Scanning - detecting where Reiki is needed, Gyoshi ho - sending Reiki with the eyes, Kenyoku - dry bathing or clearing one's energy field.
• Hayashi Healing Guide
• ICRT Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
• Practice Reiki with a classmate, using one symbol at a time
• Using Reiki for specific conditions.
• The Reiki symbols and how to use them
• Using Reiki to heal unwanted habits
• Distant healing

Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, the self-treatment, practising using all the level II symbols, including distant healing, and practicing using all the Japanese Reiki Techniques mentioned above.

While practice takes place during the class, it is expected that you will set aside additional time to practice after the class is over. Please commit to this additional time, which should be one evening a week for several weeks, or its equivalent, to practice Reiki with one or more people from your Reiki class or with members of your family or friends. This additional practice is necessary to gain the experience and confidence you need to utilize the Reiki training fully. 

It also includes up to 2 follow-up Reiki sessions with me (half price) 9-12 days after and after 21 days.

Attendance on all days is mandatory. Class times may vary slightly depending on the size of the class.

The class fee is $444, including a 192-page class manual and certificate. A $175 deposit is required unless you are splitting the class dates, in which a $50 deposit is required.

Class payments - Deposits are required and non-refundable but may be applied to a future class within 12 months. The balance is due by the class day, and you can pay by cash, cheque, credit card (online before class), or e-transfer.

Reiki Level 1 class (Shoden) only  $260

Reiki Level 2 class (Okuden), only $225  Level 2, is a pre-requisite for Animal Reiki (you can immediately take Animal Reiki without any wait time after this class).

Reiki Level 1 and 2 in-person classes are kept to a maximum of 4 students to allow for appropriate practice time and questions.  

Please bring lunch, a notebook, water, and a pair of slippers/ extra socks, and an extra sweater. Classes do have built-in breaks.

As a Professional Member of the Reiki Membership Association and the Canadian Reiki Association, I abide by their code of ethics and ensure quality teaching standards. To support your continued growth and Reiki practice, once you have taken a Reiki class with me, you can audit/redo any level you previously did with me for a discounted fee.
