Can children learn Reiki?
Of course, they can! Children are way more intuitive than most adults are and already have the inner knowings of how it wants to be used. They have such strong compassion and desire to help others; teaching them Reiki creates an opportunity for them to tap into this healing ability they already have. Children hold a vision of a wonderful world where instant healing is a natural and regular occurrence in everyday life.
Children born in these modern times can be significantly evolved, empathetic, and intuitive. They have to deal with anxiety, fears, and peer and educational pressures. Ailments such as ear infections, respiratory infections, asthma, G.I. upset, and type 2 (adult-onset) diabetes are rising.
These children present with many different gifts, abilities, and challenges and are often misunderstood. What society fails to understand is that there is often nothing wrong with children. Many cannot cope with how our modern days are set up. They learn differently and can often operate on many levels at once. They know when they are being lied to or manipulated. They often act out because they feel helpless amid deception or betrayal. Some of these children tend to shut down because the world is just too overwhelming for their sensitive nature. What they don’t need is medication. They DO NEED to see that there can be many different ways to do things and that it is OK.
All children are our teachers, assisting us with a new way of being. Our job is to be willing to wake up and see what they are trying to teach us. There are many unique ways we can begin to create a world for them where they will be honoured and supported. Learning Reiki at a young age promotes a healthy way of living by helping children make better choices, create balance, and provide them with excellent grounding, coping and relaxing skills that they can use throughout the rest of their life. Reiki also helps them develop self-confidence, the ability to get along with others and improves learning ability.
The beneficial effects of Reiki for children are numerous. It improves a person’s energy levels while simultaneously allowing them to feel relaxed and at peace. This means that every type of child will feel the positive effects of Reiki. It is soothing, it heals fear and anxiety and promotes safety, calmness and a healthy sense of well-being.
I invite you to join our children's Reiki class and then attend an Adult Level 1 class at a later date (or before) to deepen your connection and understanding and be able to support your child.

With their natural curiosity, loving hearts and exuberance for life, little ones learn Reiki quickly and find it a useful, fun tool to help them make better choices, create balance and offers a calming and soothing experience that promotes relaxation and confidence.
Practicing Reiki will support their growth into adulthood and throughout their adult lives. Reiki training provides them with a safe and gentle space to learn about Reiki and how to use it for themselves, their family and friends, and even pets.
They have clear and open channels of intuitive understanding, which makes them perfect for understanding and learning Reiki, and they instinctively know where to put their hands if someone is hurt and could use Reiki.
No prerequisites are required, and no preliminary treatment is recommended unless the student feels they would like to experience a session to understand what they will be learning in the course.
Each child will receive a certificate and an age-appropriate Reiki manual. I will also teach you how to continue supporting your child's Reiki practice at home and give an at-home experiment for you and your child to enjoy. Children have a natural awareness of healing energy and can often see it. They are very close to the flow of life. It is easy for them to learn and use Reiki. In this class, we honour their unique perspectives and present Reiki in a way they can understand.
A Placement is offered during this workshop, the acceptance of which is entirely up to the child. The emphasis is placed on experiencing Reiki and putting words and feelings to this experience through art, movement and sound. This course allows children to connect with subtle energy and learn simple Reiki methods.
Parents are encouraged and welcome to stay in a helping capacity. Some children may not want to try using Reiki on their classmates so a parent will make a comfortable option within the class. There will be creative work, and physical play, so comfortable clothes are essential.
The training is conducted in an entertaining and interactive manner so that your child has fun while learning. Children's Reiki class sizes are kept to a maximum of 4 children. This is the best way for each child to receive plenty of individual attention throughout the training.

Reiki is an ancient method of natural healing that strengthens and balances the body, mind, and spirit. Reiki is channelled by laying hands over the body's energy centers, allowing your body to achieve a level of deep relaxation that promotes healing within yourself.
With their natural curiosity, loving hearts and exuberance for life, teens learn Reiki quickly and find it a practical tool they can use to support their growth into adulthood. Practicing Reiki offers a calming and soothing experience that promotes relaxation and confidence for the teen. Learning these techniques at a young age promotes a healthy way of living throughout their adult lives, helping them make better choices and create balance.
All teens will receive a Reiki 1 Placement and learn about the chakras and aura, age-appropriate teachings around how to use Reiki for self-healing, self-clearing energy techniques and asking permission to use hand placements for healing of family and pets. Each teen will receive a certificate and a Reiki manual. (Teens over 16 may attend the regular Reiki 1 certification course.)

Training classes run for 4 hours. Your child will receive ongoing support from their Reiki Master Teacher. As one of my Reiki students, my commitment to your child continues beyond the end of their class.
Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 4 children. This includes the Reiki training manual, Level 1 certificate, and ongoing support. Niagara Falls location will be disclosed upon registration.
