Research on stress from a doctor in New York states that just 15 minutes of disrupting the brain from stress can cause a therapeutic effect - Just 15 minutes! Now, we can create this relaxed state through meditation, but a lot of people don't do well with meditation because they don't know how to quiet their mind.
Both Reiki and Singing Bowl sessions can create that relaxed state, because as you lay on the table, and feel the Reiki Energy and/or listen to the Singing Bowls, the brain, with nothing to do or think about, can then relax and therefore "something" can happen. Something natural, not supernatural, happens -the body shifts, & the brain and body chill out. Then what is ready to happen, can happen in that space of silence; that inactivity of mental analyzation.
I love Einstein's saying “imagine now, analyze later”. I think that we over-analyze everything, and in doing so, we over-activate the brain and its defence mechanisms; making it hard to get the body out of it constant fight or flight mode, which causes anxiety, high blood pressure and stress!
