You already know the benefits of sound: The right music can pump you up and make workouts feel easier.
We play music at our weddings to celebrate love, and at funerals to say goodbye. We listen to it when we are bored, and dance to it when we want to have fun. And we sing praises and worship with it.
When listening to upbeat or cheery music, or when listening to deep, melancholy songs, our emotions flare and we can better process our feelings. The difference is that we only care to listen to certain types of songs when we are feeling sad because (and here’s the kicker) we know it makes us feel better.
The Healing Power of Music and Sound has been an integral part of human civilization and has been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. The harmonic vibrations promote relaxation and slow down the brain, heart rate, breathe and disrupt pain signals creating a deep sense of well being.
The fact is that vibrations are known to touch every part of our beings. We hear the sound not only through our ears but also through the cells in our bodies. When your body and mind are out of harmony they become ill and dis-eased and Sound is able to heal us because it touches as well as transforms us in a very deep manner.
Sound has been known to put right whatever imbalance exists in the physiological functioning of our bodies and it is also able to help you deal with virtually every known medical ailment.
By simply listening to the pure, vibrant tone of the Himalayan Singing Bowls brings the mind and body back into harmony by restoring the body’s natural rhythms.
This is made possible because singing bowls emit certain sounds that work like an energetic medication that can heal your pain as well as help you remove stress disorder.
HERE IS THE DEAL -It’s a massage on a cellular level! The sound waves deeply penetrate to break up old negative energy patterns and your body’s chakras rise in vibration to meet the Singing Bowls and instruments being played. During this treatment, there is nothing for you to do but breathe and experience the journey through sound.
The truth is our body’s natural energy is in constant movement. Through the practice of sound therapy, you enjoy a truly immersive experience. Sound can dispel the disruptive stress of everyday life. If you find that stress has your life out of balance, then a Sound Wave Treatment is a perfect way to bring alignment, peace and joy back into your life.
Sound Immersion Therapy has profound effects on the body and the mind. It is so gentle and relaxing that almost all people will fall asleep at some point during the session. Those who undergo a state of deep relaxation often report a feeling of mental freshness that they carry with them for weeks after the session is over.
Individual and Group Sessions can last 1-2 hours and take place fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Bowls are placed and played all around your body, head and on your chakras (energy centres). Most clients will start to relax as soon as the session begins.
Each person gets to feel at the physical level the vibrations of the instruments while being played close to the body or placed directly in contact with the body. Many clients experience very deep relaxation, (even falling asleep) and a profound sense of feeling nurtured and supported in a safe space of soothing and harmonizing sound. No excuses or reasons required!
